2. The Rumble yesterday! Both live and then an encore showing later which was excellent for catching all the details I missed the first time around.
Yay for 'Taker having a great match with Rey Mysterio, that thump in the nose nothwithstanding (and I suspect that the two of them had words backstage afterwards, cos 'Taker looked pretty pissed once the match was over!) and for retaining his championship!
Yay for Kane and his entry at #12 and his twelfth consecutive Rumble appearance!
More yay for Kane getting to brag on his record of most superstars eliminated in a single Rumble, and for finally getting to point out that he is (and will only ever be) the only man to face 'Taker twice at WrestleMania!
YAY for Beth Phoenix getting a Rumble berth!! I was so excited! And double yay for her getting the chance to eliminate someone, which puts her one up on my hero Chyna. (And also means that the plans I have for my fic It's Not Over cannot now be accused of being unrealistic! :-p)
Yay for Christian retaining his title, even if it destroys my hopes of a move to SmackDown and an Edge and Christian reunion because oh my God, EDGE IS BACK! (He needs to lose the beard though, and maybe trim off a few pounds - I'm just sayin' is all!)
3. K's reaction this morning to the work I did for her over the weekend printing her wedding invitations - she was so delighted and that definitely made me happy. Also makes me think there may be a little home business in that, so I may think more about that in coming weeks.
4. I've been busily being crafty lately which is very enjoyable. I'm actually seeing progress on a crocheted afghan rug that has been a UFO (unfinished object!) for an unbelievable 20 years now! Well, I've had all the yarn for that long, and have been working on it sporadically for probably 15 years. I may post some pictures of it later, when I get the chance to upload them to PB.
I've also made a lovely shawlette out of some beautiful handspun and hand dyed yarn that I got from
And now, I get to go into a three hour meeting . . . blah. That does not make me happy. But such is life!
