Our boss went for her first free mammogram (which kick in down under when you turn 50) a little while back, and they found something.
She had the repeat scan this morning, and they're pretty sure it's cancer. So sure in fact that her doctor says if the path tests come back negative tomorrow, she won't believe it.
She's devastated and so are we.
Of course we know that there are treatments, and it all hinges on what kind of cancer and what stage it's at, but at the moment, we're gutted.
So any positive thoughts you can spare for her, and for us as we try to cope, would be great.
And it's probably timely to pass on the reminder that we should all be checking "the girls" monthly for any changes, and seeing the doctor the moment there is.
